So many people are seeking out venues with copious amounts of space and freedom to make it their own. However, some feel like you lose elegance or class. But not us! We think you can have both country and city! For example, Rolling Ridge is located an hour from the Twin Cities in Saint Joseph Minnesota, giving it the perfect distance between country and city. It provides 10 different ceremony spaces with a landscape that is second to none.
Ceremony site options
With multiple ceremony options, it allows for creativity to flow. So, if you choose a barn venue, it can easily be dressed up to feel like a fancy space in the city. Each place offering freedom to make it unique and special to you. Dress it up like a full western appeal, or keep it neutral toned for a more classy vibe.
This couple chose the stone backdrop for a more chic approach, where we decorated the arch with taupe draping and greenery arrangements to really make it POP!
Barns are great for receptions, but what if I still want that classy impression to last throughout the evening?
Draping. Draping can transform any space into the upscale, high class, most elegant room that you have always wanted. This couple chose to drape the barn poles and do a dramatic backdrop behind the head table for a flawless finish!
Still not convinced?
Think about your table decorations. Centerpieces can always add so much style and passion to complete any desired look. Keeping this wedding venue in mind, the couple added cool, natural tones in their decor to enhance the beauty of the barn that already existed.
The combination of linens for this wedding was EVERYTHING! The velvet fabric gave the reception texture along with comfort. Paired with a khaki linen, the green undertone kept it cool and elegant.
Side by side or miles apart?
Check out these two pictures below. On the left you have the city feels and chic presentation. And yet on the right, you have the heart and soul of country!
So what do YOU think? Can you have both country and city?
Weddings are the day that every little girl dreams about filled with mystery and excitement. They dream about what their dress will look like, how they will do their hair, who will stand next to them and of course who will be the groom. These dreams are always filled with life, color, and love. A true fairytale.
And this wedding was just that - a true fairytale.
With chairs in their place, the soft breeze billowing the draping, and the sun peeking through the trees, a beautiful ceremony began on a spacious, calm shorefront.
After a sweet, sweet ceremony came a lot of celebration. The cocktail hour and reception was filled with romantic colors and a lot of life, giving their guests a full wedding experience.
As guests filled the reception space they were welcomed by a pleasant transformation of a family owned warehouse that was now an elegant display of beauty and grace, perfect for celebrating the newlywed couple. The tables were draped with pink linens and lace overlays. Flowers were hand selected and pieced together for a great garland centerpiece, lining each table.
Choosing to go with two different colors of draping provided the space a cozy and romantic feel while still giving a slight contrast from the other accent colors.
And we can’t forget about the head table. It was a work of art. It was EVERYTHING. The groom hand made a beautiful backdrop that was the focal point of the entire space. Enhanced with three chandeliers and farm-style tables, it was nothing but perfection.
To end off this fairytale wedding was an intimate boat ride as if they were in the movie The Notebook. From start to finish this was a picture perfect fairytale wedding.
What do all these things have in common you may ask?
A THEME.
It starts with a theme. Brides that give their wedding a theme not only have an easier time planning and making decisions, but it also gives their day a full story, from beginning to end. Check out this wedding that was a full feature film as if it was straight from the movies!
It started with the Invites. From the first invite received, this wedding was sure to be full of adventure, story, and a love just like the movies.
The movie theme continued right into the ceremony decor with this creative "NOW SHOWING" film poster letting the guests participate in the full experience of The Wedding Day movie they were about to witness {the ceremony}.
The moment we've all been waiting for..........the KISS!
Continuing right into the next scene was the romantic movie afterparty. Filled with gold hues and endless candles, the celebration was just beginning!
This romantic film had all of the guests talking! Filled with lots of love and laughter throughout the entire night, it was sure this movie would have a happy ending.
We all know that any good romantic movie will give you thefeels and this one had us hooked from the opening scene!
We gave this one a 5 star rating with so many great details from the invitations all the way to the end credits!
From start to finish this bride was ready for her day, as most brides are. The rain tried to dampen the morning by making an appearance but did not keep this bride from walking down the aisle of her dreams. She made a quick change in ceremony sites, added some cafe lights and a chandelier, and had the comfiest, cozy ceremony, which was nothing short of greatness. With an umbrella in hand, and her dad at her side she was ready to walk through the curtains and down the aisle to the man she would soon call her husband!
With the rain drizzling down behind them and the soft glow of the lighting, they had a ceremony that would be remembered forever!
The simple chandelier that Elizabeth chose gave them such a great focal point and centerpiece for their first kiss as husband and wife!
Simple white curtains only added to the comfy feel of their ceremony and provided a great backdrop for the couple at any time of their beautiful day!
As the evening goes on and the party continues, the lighting only gets better! The cafe lights began to make their appearance and soften the evening even more with such a sweet, romantic glow.
