Are you wondering if your wedding ideas will all come together to create that breathtaking image in your mind?
Don't worry, We've Got It Covered!
Here are 5ways to guarantee a great wedding look you are sure to love!
1. Pick a color scheme
2. Find a backdrop
This can be something unique from your venue like a big window, art on the wall, stonework, or a big fireplace.
If nothing stands out...Choose your own statement like this taupe backdrop!
3. Add dimension
Use different heights and lengths in your wedding decor to create depth and visual appeal.
Another way to add dimension is a contrast color. Nothing too fancy or flamboyant (unless that's totally your cup of tea!), but something simple, like these greenery arrangements. It keeps your room looking lively and lifted rather than flat and dull.
3. Pick your head table style, linen, and chair
To create the finished look a textured velvet linen was added with a Chiavari chair for the perfect sweetheart table!
4. Add your centerpieces!
This is where you can be the most c r e a t i v e ! Put together an array of different items in your same color scheme, incorporate your contrast color, include your table number and maybe a few pictures and viola! You have a great centerpiece!
5. Lastly, put it all together and simply admire
Another great tip to make sure that your ideas come out flawless is to make your own mock table. Set it up and put together your centerpiece trying different things until you come to find something you absolutely love.
Weddings are the day that every little girl dreams about filled with mystery and excitement. They dream about what their dress will look like, how they will do their hair, who will stand next to them and of course who will be the groom. These dreams are always filled with life, color, and love. A true fairytale.
And this wedding was just that - a true fairytale.
With chairs in their place, the soft breeze billowing the draping, and the sun peeking through the trees, a beautiful ceremony began on a spacious, calm shorefront.
After a sweet, sweet ceremony came a lot of celebration. The cocktail hour and reception was filled with romantic colors and a lot of life, giving their guests a full wedding experience.
As guests filled the reception space they were welcomed by a pleasant transformation of a family owned warehouse that was now an elegant display of beauty and grace, perfect for celebrating the newlywed couple. The tables were draped with pink linens and lace overlays. Flowers were hand selected and pieced together for a great garland centerpiece, lining each table.
Choosing to go with two different colors of draping provided the space a cozy and romantic feel while still giving a slight contrast from the other accent colors.
And we can’t forget about the head table. It was a work of art. It was EVERYTHING. The groom hand made a beautiful backdrop that was the focal point of the entire space. Enhanced with three chandeliers and farm-style tables, it was nothing but perfection.
To end off this fairytale wedding was an intimate boat ride as if they were in the movie The Notebook. From start to finish this was a picture perfect fairytale wedding.
Trends - do you take part in them? Or do you do your own thang? Whether you are all about the hype or want to run the other way, we are here to tell you what we think will be making an appearance in 2019.
1. Let's Talk AboutCOLOR-
Twenty Eighteen was all about blush and taupe hues, pastels and greenery. But let me tell ya, 2019 has arrived and has come in full swing. As wedding plans are being established in these winter months, an appearance of bold and moody hues are being incorporated into dresses, flowers, decor and more.
As greenery is here to stay another year, we are seeing deep burgundy, intense turquoise, rich emerald and lots of navy sprinkled throughout the wedding day. These bold colors are often paired with soft tones like taupe or champagne accents.
2. It’s a blast from the past. The 90’s velvet is BACK! The smooth, comfy texture to the shine of the threads, velvet is becoming a headliner this wedding season.
Along with velvet making an appearance, we are also seeing a rise in chiffon fabric. Draped on tables, on an arch or on the ceiling, chiffon is soft and romantic and we are loving everything about it and its versatility.
3. Personalized - Out with the traditions, in with the unique.
In 2019 we are expecting to see a twist from your typical white ball gown, big princess wedding. Making a shift to smaller, more intimate weddings we will see couples matching their decor to their personality and character. Incorporating more activities, and things for guests to do, it will feel like a close family gathering.
4. Trendy Modern Venues -
Industrial spaces are in the running to compete with the rustic charm. As outdoor weddings will always remain popular, barns and vineyards will have to share the wedding spotlight with some modern industrial spaces.
Flowers have been a part of weddings since the beginning, but the use of them has transformed immensely. Although flowers are still used on tables today, we are finding them hung from backdrops, chandeliers, the ceiling, floral walls and much much more. We aren’t complaining because who doesn’t love the smell of fresh flowers filling the air?
First thing to think about is your ceremony. Are you going to have an indoor ceremony? An outdoor ceremony? Is it in a barn? A field? An event center? A church? Maybe you want to bring the church setting outdoors. Anything is possible! First start broad, then get to the details.
First-
Drama.
Broad ideas begin with using a backdrop, an arch, or creating something different.
This idea was brought to life by adding curtains in a field, making the appearance of church windows for an outdoor ceremony.
Second-
The chairs.
Do they need to be covered? Want to add some color to the ceremony? Think about a colored sash! Keep it classy with black and white, or change it up and add your own spice of color!
Third-
The details.
Once you have the big ideas taken care of, like a backdrop or draping on an arch then look to the small details. Maybe you want to line your aisle with some decorations like candles or flowers or add a sign to the beginning for extra appeal.
Pictures:
Every venue has a specific place full of character and charm for wedding day pictures. When you have located that special spot think of different things you could add. Placing old furniture and a creative backdrop gives a fun place to take photos with your party as well as for your guests!
Lighting-
This is something that may seem small, but adds so much. When the evening comes and the soft glow shines, you are sure to feel love and romance throughout your entire space.
Reception:
Guest Tables-
This is where you get to be extra creative! Keep it simple or make it intricate, it's up to you! Decor ideas can include an array of centerpieces, table runners, chargers, napkins, candles, chair backs, flowers and more.
Head Table-
This is probably the most important part of your day when thinking about decor. The head table is a focal point that directs all of the guests to you.
Decor items to think about include: a colored backdrop, a bold linen choice, chargers, napkins, flowers, candles or other centerpiece decor that matches your guest tables and personal style.
Other various decoration ideas (optional):
Cake Table-
Your cake table and dessert display is a place to spice up your space with some unique finds. Add a sweet sign, a fun table and you are good to go!
Cocktail Tables-
Gift Table-
Last but not least, don't forget any other areas that could be used to your advantage. If there is something that catches your eye, be sure to give it extra love and attention! You will never regret!
